no pics

had a bloody busy day on wednesday there actually went to visit friends in glasgow for the afternoon and ended up doing eight tattoos, mostly names as a couple of new customers wanted their childrens names on them and they have two sons and a daughter.
that was good experience as the dad had his youngests name put on the back of his neck.
so a few names and a couple of dates and some little love hearts and i was £140 better off.
the lad wants a big dragon put on his ribs next week which im quite looking forward too apparently its quite a sore area to get a tattoo so it should be quite interesting.
so ive got a few lined up anyway to keep me busy enough. hopefully next time im up in glasgow ill be able to get some pictures of the ones that are missing for you to see xxx

holiday tatts

this is a terrible photo but the tattoo actually turned out ok, its a horseshoe and some vines with mum and dad written in the horse shoe, it was good fun doing it and it was the first time id tattooed a horseshoe on someone so that was an experience they need colour but kate decided it would detract from the words so we left it skin coloured.

this was an older one that needed redone i could see by looking at it that when i first started doing tattoos i did my circles far to big since having a bit of practise the circles have got a lot neater and smaller im sure this time it will be ok.

daryll also got his grandfathers name on his arm, he was gonna get it on his chest but instead he now has just a little black dot because it hurt too much to get the writing done.
im trying to convince him to let me loose on his back as hes only just started collecting tattoos and there is some prime real estate there that i could put something beautiful on but well see next time hes here on his hols.

finished finally

finally the end has come to this epic tattoo, the birds were added to the original bit at the bottom and i have to say im very impressed with myself the colour just seemed to know what it was doing and i had no problems whatsoever with them. apart from the blood this time but she'll live. we re-coloured the rose at the top and the blue in the wings, tried to follow your advice dad and use more colour this time and fair play it looks much better than it did before.

her next one is a beautiful koi design on her side though im not sure when that will be im thinkin maybe she wants to heal first ha ha look forward to seeing you soon sharleen thanks again.

cripes ................!!!!

well yesterday was a busy day, one little visit to friends in glasgow and my tattooing talent took a hammering. i started with a girl called emma who wanted mum and dad written on her arms with some love hearts above each one. easy enough but unfortunately she ran away before i could get a photograph. three hearts above each name and the middle ones coloured in red, it was quite sweet and they turned out really well. next i did a tattoo for marie, she wanted her mans name on her wedding ring finger, funny thing is pat doesnt like tattoos so im sure you can imagine his opinion on the matter. i was a bit worried about doing maries tattoo as well as she takes a lot of medication for her heart and blood thinners, but, strangely enough she was the only one who didnt bleed. the next job was for cheryl who wanted ian written on her ring finger the picture isnt so good really but she was so very pleased with it. ian had her name written on his ring finger too and believe me fitting a six letter name across a finger is a nightmare. (ian also had some old work redone and this time he actually managed to sit perfectly still while i did it for him.) poor ryan wanted another one done too, that boy bless him has no pain threshold what so ever. he wanted mum and dad too but in a kind of old style tattoo with hearts and scrolls and a sword. the one i originally drew up for him was in the end a little to big for him. it was a good job he changed his mind really because he jumped and shouted his way through this one i thought i was gonna have to knock him out just to get the outline finished. however eventually he sat and got it done and got the colour put in as well, and im really quite pleased with the results, i did the sword handle in a deep yellow with a hint of brown to add shadow to the handle, or is it the hilt im not sure. obviously the hearts were red abd ive a feeling they might need to be reworked in a few weeks time but only because he wouldnt let me colour it all at once he first wanted a space of skin left to add a reflection but eventually he changed his mind so no doubt it will look a bit blotchy. we did the right side of the blade in a pale blue for some shadow too but he decided he wanted the scrolls left as skin which suited me fine, after five hours and seven tattoos my legs were starting to cramp slightly.
so all in all it was a good afternoons work and good practice, a new body part too as these were the first fingers i had attempted. im quite pleased with them all and the customers were chuffed too. i think im gonna do some work for david tonight going over his writing on his back and trying to find a way to tie everything in together. maybe extending the tribal design across his back or joining it together with some kind of design im not sure yet. the ones on his back are so mismatched they need something to bring them together. ill let you know what happens with that when i work it out.
he also wants a question cross put on him aswell. mental i hear you say most definately is my reply.

forgot about this one

i did this little butterfly on my walking canvas kirstie the other week although you cant really see it from the picture there is a light blue in the wings too.
it took about ten minutes to do the outline and then we stopped for a fag as she said it was the most painful thing ever in the world.
im quite pleased with it and it looks really cute, kind of on the side of her hip.

the top bit

well crikey mikey this took a long time. a tribute to her sister donna marie this tattoo must be the hardest three hours of both of our lives. from the top of the m.l. to the top of the wings this is about six inches square and it was quite a difficult piece.
mostly it was the colour that caused the problem it was either to thick or it wouldnt mix well and eventually it was just too much and sharleen decided to call it a day so it actually took two days.
i went through nearly a full kitchen roll with it and im suffering severe backache.
all worth it in the end though she loves it and its nearly finished just some flowers and birds to add to the bottom and then thats that.
then shes wantin koi fish i think god help me.

glasgow revisited

went up to glasgow to buy a bookcase and came home with no bookcase and two more tattoos under my belt, this one was for an old customer who decided while i was there he could get another one done its not quite finished because we ran out of time but hes booked a party on saturday which will give me the opportunity to shade in the scroll.
i know it looks a mess like i havent cleaned it or ive smudged it but this particular customer is not only the worlds worst fidget but hes a bleeder as well and the red in the scroll is blood not misplaced ink.
this one only took ten minutes and i think it will probably need redone because hes also a picker and i can well imagine half of it will be away by saturday.
this is another old customer if you look back she had logan written on her other wrist and this one is kacey for her daughter who was beginning to think her mum didnt love her as much as her brother. bless her it was so sweet she helped pick the colours and watched the whole time it was getting done.

the two of them only took about twenty minutes to do altogether so i was quite chuffed and the kitchen roll use was minimal so i was quite pleased with that because it really is starting to cost me a fortune. im tempted to take shares in plenty so i get it cheaper.

i also did ryans tattoo again it just need the outline going over again as when he first got it done he was jumpin about all over the place and the needle missed a few times leaving blank spaces here and there.

ickle kirstie finally got wully redone this was a shame as it was really sore for her particularly the w and the y. but i have to admit it does look a lot better now and she is definately more happy with it now.

kirsties next one is gonna be on her tummy floers on one side and butterflies on the other so i should be quite busy over the next couple of months xxxx
