the written word .........

this first one was for jamielee, a friend of kellys, it says The past is practice and its one she has wanted for a long time now and i was so very surprised at how little pain she felt. the last one i had anywhere near my foot i cried like a baby but this girl never even flinched. so well done you jamielee.
she has another one in the pipeline already so keep an eye out in future for her next one.


the second picture here is a lovely tattoo up the girls arm, shawnee is another of kellys pals and this one says Your hate for me brought out the great in me. which i think personally is a great little phrase.
she didnt have a great pain threshold and found this one a bit tough going but she sat through till the end and is pleased with the end result. i think it will be a while before we see this one again though lol

dad

again im sorry about the picture its naff but the tattoo is great, very simple idea, just pretty writing with some little stars and stardust around it in blue. Sarah is a good friend and many moons ago she had tweety pie put on her shoulder, this one as you might be able to make out is the back of her neckand really nice.
she is getting married in july so congratulations with that and the very best of luck, lets hope the dress shows off your artwork xxx

tinkerbell

this was my friend jill, totally mad on disney characters and her daughter has a thing for tinkerbell so hence the tinkerbell tattoo. just a little one though and she sat through it no problem at all. its hard to see in this piccy my camera work still needs improving but it turned out super cute and both jill and her daughter are made up with their new addition xxx

cover it tribal

this is davids latest contribution to the industry, his pal allan came up and wanted an old tattoo reworked so david sat him down and went over it again. originally as you can see from the top photie, it was lightly shaded but when they redid it they decided on a light blue mixed with green. a kind of cammie pattern. you cant really see the blue in the picture but it is there, unfortunately allan likes wakkie bakkie and bled the whole way through this tattoo, so much so david was struggling to see what he was doing. hopefully next time allan comes up to get this particular piece continued around the rest of his arm, hell hold off having a fag.
i think david did a good job considering what he was up against, his outline is good and solid and pretty consistent and i think its a real shame allan made it so difficult for him to colour it in xxxx

bullet proof

this was sammy another friend of kellys. she had printed the phrase bullet proof with a little piccy of a gun. it was her first tattoo and she was really nervous but you would never have known it was her first one, she was brilliant! very good at breathing slowly so as not to mess up the writing i really appreciated the effort she put in.
loved the tattoo idea and so did she which is great. i wonder if she will get the bug now?

bad girls

well this is one of the first of the year, well two actually. you may remember kelly from previous piccies, her and her pal decided to get the same tattoo, from what i can gather their group of friends all have something similar. the first picture is of her friend maggies version of it which is on her thigh just below her knickers, which are the frilly pink bit at the top of the photo. kelly had hers across her stomach from her left hip bone. they were both quite nervous of the pain but sat very well for it i was very impressed at how brave they were. the tattoos were quick and reminded me how much id missed doing them over the new year.
kelly is bringing back another friend on friday afternoon for some flowers on her thigh, maybe she isnt a bad girl, i dont know but the business is always welcome xxx

vroom vroom

this tattoo belongs to lyndsays hubby brendan, hes waited many years to get a tattoo and wanted a hawaiian pin up girl from what i can gather, however quite rightly he will be getting that particular one done on holiday in america by someone who specializes in those particular designs. this was his first ever tattoo and i was feeling ok about doing it, id done lyndsays lizard and also the outline of two others on the night. however brendan is a very particular man and is somewhat the perfectionist, and i could physically feel my hands shaking when i set out doing this.
maybe it was the stress or the time of night or the alcohol fuelled chit chat (from the customers not me), but this little iddy biddy thing was the hardest tattoo ive ever done.
it took so long and so many things went wrong with it. it still isnt quite right now though brendan will need to wait until his next trip to scotland to get it coloured in.
hes a bit of a petrolhead, into vintage motors and trucks, cars of any age and description and so the V8 symbol seemed quite fitting for him.
it upset me so much i actually ended up in tears over it but i think he likes it a little bit and once its coloured he will hopefully learn to love it and not hold it against me forever more. sorry the first tattoo wasnt the best experience but im sure now the bug has bitten you brendan youll be collecting them from every holiday you go on xxxx

first tattoo of 2011

this is another one david was meant to be doing but decided he would rather not. he doesnt like feet bless him lol, this little lizard belongs to his sister lyndsay who has been waiting a good while to get it done.
shes a great customer, came in although it was after 11pm, knew what she wanted, let e get on with it and chewed hard on a stick of gum to help bear the pain.
it really didnt take long at all and its so cute. she went away feeling really chuffed and im glad because she put a silly limit on the cost of xmas pressies and i felt as though i hadnt bought her anything so this went down as an added extra.
im not sure if she will want anymore from me personally but i expect she will get more eventually she seems to have caught the tattoo bug xxxxx
