ooooouuuuuuuccccchhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

so, i never thought id say this but i really should have listened to my daddy, david finally got to scar me for life with a tattoo and do you know im really pleased with the final result. i added some work to a tattoo my dad had done for me many years ago and i think its worked really well, initially i wanted around the tattoo that was there already but then i thought no i can take the pain ill get it leading onto my ankle, crikey and i thought labour was painful. we had a bit of trouble getting the transfer on initially so we had to cut it in half and kind of piece it together around the bones in my ankle but we got the picture on in the end and for a first tattoo i think he did a great job really.
i would never recommend it to anyone and ill never be stupid enough to get one on the other ankle but i love it. thank you david well done im very proud.

and sorry ladies an gents again i took the pictures on the camera the wrong way round so please tilt your heads to the right to get a clearer view of the pictures. one day ill break into the modern era and become pooter literate.
this one is a bit blurred sorry its the light bouncing off the huge quantity of lotions and potions i put on it to ease the pain lol.Posted by Picasa

bookings

well well well who would have thought that just mentionning the need for a holiday would scare away all the customers i had, i cant believe that the last tattoo i did was so long ago........
ive got a couple booked in for after christmas though having spoken to a couple of people they would have me tattoing on christmas day if i could.
then i think it will be new year before i can get anymore on the go. it takes so long for word of mouth to get business going but i can always buy some practice skin if i get really bored.
so ive got a couple more names to look forward to doing and some guy asked me if i would mind doing a shrek portrait on him, why would i mind? its all money for my ever increasing credit card bill.
so hopefully there will be some new pictures soon for you all to see and pic holes in lol
if i dont get to the computer beforehand though i hope you have a wonderful christmas and new year xxxx thanks for reading

i need a holiday

goodness me one sniff of a cheap tattoo and the mad scots come flocking in lol, its been a busy week this week really, first lot we had in were a group from glasgow, after some names in a nice type of writing that wasnt going to hurt too much, ha ha ha. how do you tell a well known nutter that his tattoo wont hurt a bit??

if you can rotate your pooters again people it spells kacey which is the name of the guys daughter. im sure when shes older her mum will take great pleasure in telling her what a wuss her dad was, he kept pulling his arm away and jumping about like a looney. when i did the letter k at the top near his elbow he actually managed to sit still but bit straight through his t-shirt button, however he was overjoyed with the final result and has said he will be back to get his sons name on the other arm when he next gets payed, or when he works up the bottle to come back, whichever happens first.

ignoring all the rubbish o the table in the background please! this was the first guys girlfriend and she had the name of their son logan on her wrist now talk about pain threshhold. this lassie didnt even blink, due to past history she was ever so worried but managed to sit through it no problem she completely put her man to shame. well done cheryl!!!!!

this one only took 15mins in total which i was pleased with, and again she would like to come back again to get her daughters name on the other wrist.

this was another funny one the lad was really worked up about it and didnt know what to do, he changed his mind twice about what he wanted done and where it was going but he did not bad really. a lot of breaks and a lot of fags later and it was done, originally he wanted it coloured but i think after turning the shade of ghost and all the numbness he experienced in his hand he only ended up getting a couple of bits of the letters coloured in. note the green/white pattern he chose as a token gesture to his footie team, stinky celtic, lol.

the last one here was the next day and a friend of ours wanted her boyfriends name on her somewhere and while i tried to talk her out of it she stuck to her guns saying that if they did split up she could always say it was for her brother who has the same name. this altogether took about 40mins, the outline was done in no time at all an the colouring was too but we did stop for a dinner break in the middle. mmm it was fried chicken incase you were wondering.
my friday night customers let me down having spent all their money during the week but im sure they will be back, in a way im glad to have the night off, whoever said that tattooing was an easy business?????

help!!!!!

ive been busy busy since the last time i wrote still waiting for delivery of certain items but thats only to be expected really.

ivw done a few tattoos this week already, david wanted bloomin dilligaf on his hand, i swear the slogan is taking over the world at the moment. he didnt want the usual writing so we vamped it up a little bit with a devil theme though its hard to make out from this photo. it was difficult to get the ink into his skin at the side of his hand and he did spend a lot of time telling me just how sore it was but it went in in the end and he loves it which is great.

the next one was a lad wanting his name on the back of his arm, the name if youre finding it hard to see is Stephen from elbow to wrist, it was the lads first tattoo and it hurt him a little bit bless him he kept jumping when the needle touched him and one jump was so bad he made me jump and i nearly dropped the machine i got such a fright. he sat through it though and it looks good, he was a glutton for punishment though, he said when i finished would you mind writing mum on my wrist? get him the hard man, thankfully the writing was freehand and he didnt flinch at all maybe he got used to the pain.

it was quite sweet actually he has three brothers and they are all in turn getting the very same tattoo in the very same place. i thought it was a nice idea really. fortunately his brother was there with him so i nailed his on too.
thankfully i must have done something right as the lad promised he would be back, (every fortnight when he gets his money).
brilliant!! one regular customer to pay my credit card bill.
ive maybe got a little one to do tonight a little heart with wings and a halo if the girl ever makes her mind up, but she might wait until friday night when her and her boyfriend and her boyfriends mum and brother come round. another late night for me on friday i think. mostly though it will just be writing which is quite quick and easy to do.
also i suppose i should let david do my butterfly this week hes champing at the bit to get going on it. he hates it when im better at something than he is. lol see you next time.

ooooooohhhhh get me!!!!

as promised folks this is a rather wonky picture of my very first tattoo, Remove formatting from selectionthose of you on laptops feel free to turn it on its side to get a better view, for those of you with a proper pooter i do apologise and you will just need to lean to the right a bit to get it the right way, dont worry noone is laughing at you.

i did my first two public tattoos last night and it took me forever but i only used one whole kitchen roll dad so im cutting down a little bit. a couple of friends of mine asked if i could do a tattoo each for them last night which obviously i said yes to as i need the practice and they were willing. i didnt get started until gone 10:00pm and i was still going at bloody 3:00am (yes dad i hear you, speed up, i get it), but the first one was the afore mentioned D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. which i didnt have too much of an issue with, except i dont have any real tracing paper yet so the transfer was a bit of a bugger to get on, and the truth be told i cocked it up. thanks to david i managed to rescue it though he spotted a crucial spelling error just in time. so now its all ok and the poor girl can breathe easily once again.

(see kevin bloody wilsons website for the song under the same initials it is sooo funny)

the second job was a bit of a challenge actually a yin yang symbol which im not too fazed with really but the perfect circle was a little daunting to say the least. the lad wanted hash leaves instead of the usual circles which was ok but they were quite small and fiddly which wasnt good. plus he was a really fidgety customer and he bled, a lot. after the outline was done it was almost as if his body was rejecting the colour i was putting in. even david tried to get the colour to take on him but it just didnt want to know, typical really, it was hard work but bless him he took it like a man. i wont be attempting another one for a while though i can tell you that for certain.

(those letters underneath are d.j.x.s which are the lads initials i was quite chuffed with them because they were freehand.)
ha ha so there you go im shattered today through lack of sleep but im happy i think with the work ive done and i cant wait to get started on the next one.

dad help !!!! theyre coming out of the woodwork

well well my name is already being passed about as the next big thing in my area, i have five mates rates tattoos lined up for next week and i havent even got tracing paper yet, ill really need to get my act in gear i think.
my nozzles finally arrived from ireland this morning so i was all excited to get started but when i thought about it there is still quite a few bits and pieces i need to get.

i think david is going to do a little butterfly for me tomorrow as his first one hes desperate to use his scorpion machine thought really i think he should keep it good its bloody heavy and not at all comfortable to me. but whatever suits!

so my upcoming practise pieces are the famous words of kevin bloody wilson the aussie comedian. dilligaf was the slogan for his 2009 tour and that as im sure you are all aware stands for, do i look like i give a fuck,.............genius! there is also a yin/yang symbol in there which i cant imagine being too difficult but i could be lulling myself into a false sense of security there.
a couple of dog pics and some personal effects and that ladies and gents is all in the one house. its going to be a busy week i think ....

in transit

yippee ebay is a wonderful place really, though it confuses me still. all the items i ordered have been posted so ive just got to wait for the man with the red and yellow bag to bring them to my door.

was talking to my fiancee last night and the next tattoo weve designed for him is a lions head drawn in almost a tribal kind of way with long flowing lines, also its going to fit around a previous tattoo on his right arm. only thing is its going to head onto the inside of his arm and ive heard tell that that can be a little sore but, well, its his choice.
cant wait for the stuff to arrive now to get started on it ive already drawn it out i just need to get it on him.

anyway im planning a couple of butterflies for him to do on my leg as his first tattoo, hes desperate to get some practice in too as its gonna be our career/vocation in the future so we both need to be on the ball with it.

shopping

who would have known how difficult it could be to decide on what colours to buy and where to buy them from. thank heavens for ebay is all i can say.

i did my first tattoo a few weeks ago while i was on holiday in the southport/formby area, under the professional eye of my dad i managed to engrave a dragons head on my fiancees left arm, the outline was quite easy though nerve racking all the same that was just like drawing with a heavy pen but the colouring, that is a different matter altogether. trying to judge where the needles are in comparison to the outline was hard work, dad was getting really tired of explaining the same thing over and over, its not like im thick or anything i was just nervous.
i got there in the end though and i have to say for a first attempt im quite proud of my little self.

today after an unexpected windfall i decided to get my act in gear and buy the things i need to start tattooing, not that i needed to buy a machine, (machine folks not gun, remember that!), dad had bought me one of those as a surprise pressie. he also gave me a k-machine because my name starts with a k and a scorpion machine for my fiancee as hes really into the horrible critters. so much to the fact hes getting one for christmas..............maybe.

so thats me im now waiting on gloves, ink, needles and nozzles. sounds somewhat like a surgeons shopping list but im under no illusions im definately not that clever. just really excited to get going and spread my wings as a tattoo angel
